Winter Newsletter 2017

25 November 2017

Dear valued Customer,

It’s been a while since our last newsletter however a lot has been happening at Propguy!

Before I begin a number of you are accessing our website via an old bookmark so are missing out on our new products, so please refresh your browser.

If you have visited any of the model air shows this season you will have likely seen our Graduate EME 35cc engined kit being effectively displayed by Callum, Scott, Dean our show pilots and on occasions by several LMA members. Additionally, RCM&E readers will have noticed Alex Whittaker extoling the Graduates virtues accompanied by some great flying shots in last month’s edition of the magazine.

As the ‘building season’ gets underway you may want to consider choosing the popular mid wing Graduate or our new retro design unveiled at the LMA’s Gaydon event as a winter project? This like the Graduate the ‘Fokkendecker’ features a tab locking self-jigging largely laser cut construction, amazingly strong yet lightweight assembling in super quick time. Based very loosely on the Flair Hannibal look and size however apart from the cowl the similarity ends there!

With two-piece wing, two-piece fuselage and optional removal tail feathers this comparatively large model (92in span) can be transported in the smallest car and already has found favour with a number of customers. Additional the model can be built in three variants as well as the ‘Fokkendecker’ there is ‘Oldport’ and the ‘Bispham Monoplane’ optional tail design and wing tips mimicking German, French and English designs and limitless colour schemes will ensure individuality. The kit priced at £299 has all the wood parts, cowl and preformed u/c included, full details and a build thread will appear on the website shortly. After the purchase of either of these kits there is also 10% discount on engines, radio equipment and hardware to complete your model. These need not be bought at same time but at anytime over the next six months.

More and more of you are turning towards the use of our autostart units and many of you have re-engineered the standard unit to fit a variety of engines. At Propguy we have produced a new purposely engineered unit for the popular NGH 38cc 4 stroke engine. In its standard form this engine is prone to vibration and a notorious finger biter! However with the autostart conversion with the revised engine mounting and variable engine timing the unit is transformed into running like a proverbial Swiss watch! Conversion kits are priced at £175 included is a free relay switch, we are also offering a fitting service and complete autostart engines ready to install in your model. Again see the website or call for details.

Amongst other new products expect to see the new range of Falcon props, following exactly the same profile as the extremely successful beechwood sport design this range will be ready painted white with red tips.

Also the very popular Flowmax fuel system range of fuel and smoke tanks will shortly be joined by the new ‘metal series’ a clear heavy duty polycarbonate version with brass metal fittings. A range of sizes from 250ml to 1 Litre are available.

We are now distributors for the Century range of mainly foamie models, notably the very popular ‘Riot’ series. Attractively priced these make great presents and are perfect for a quick flight during the winter months. Floats and Skis available!

Combo deals are available on all 3D Hobby shop and Extreme Flight ARF’s as well as our own Graduate and Fokkendecker variants!

As the festive season approaches we take the opportunity of thanking you for your custom over the past years. We look forward to serving you in the future and wishing you all the very best and seeing you at the air shows in 2018.

Meantime happy and safe flying!
